Most of the timbers selected for Kempff Piano are naturally dried, with the moisture content strictly controlled to be less than 7%. Meanwhile, the timbers are cut by adopting mechanical principles according to their texture features, so as to guarantee to the utmost extent that the natural structure of timbers is free from damage and ensure natural conduction of piano sound. Kempff Piano is made of precious timbers such as spruce, maple, walnut, teak, ebony and mahogany, which are used for making parts of Kempff Piano.
